Login or Register to make a Conference Proceedings Submission.

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal or conference for consideration. Any exceptions must be explained in the "Comments to the Editor" section.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice or Microsoft Word document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The submission has been anonymized for the double-blind peer-review process by removing any identifying information about the authors (e.g., names, affiliations, and acknowledgments).
  • The authors acknowledge that their work will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License.
  • The submission complies with ethical standards, including proper citation practices, avoidance of plagiarism, and integrity in data reporting.
  • Authors are aware of the preprint and postprint policy and agree to properly attribute ICSTI in any shared versions of their work.
  • If accepted, the authors agree to present their paper during the virtual sessions, following the Virtual Conference Guidelines for participation.

The International Conference on Science, Technology, and Innovation (ICSTI) welcomes the submission of high-quality manuscripts. Please carefully review and follow these guidelines to ensure your submission meets the required standards.

1. Manuscript Categories

Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts that fall into one of the following categories:

  • Full Research Papers: In-depth research that provides significant findings. Maximum length: 10 pages.
  • Short Papers: Preliminary research, case studies, or reports on ongoing projects. Maximum length: 6 pages.
  • Review Papers: Comprehensive reviews of specific research topics, identifying gaps and emerging trends. Maximum length: 12 pages.

2. General Formatting

All manuscripts should adhere to the following formatting requirements:

  • Document Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or OpenOffice format.
  • Page Layout: A4 size with 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • Font: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font size.
  • Spacing: Single-spaced throughout the document, including references, tables, and figure captions.
  • Paragraphs: Use left justification for text, with no additional spacing between paragraphs.
  • Headings: Use a clear hierarchy for headings:
    • Main headings: Bold, 14-point font.
    • Subheadings: Bold, 12-point font.
    • Sub-subheadings: Italic, 12-point font.

3. Structure of the Manuscript

Manuscripts must follow the standard structure below:

Title Page
  • Title: Concise and informative. The title should reflect the content of the paper.
  • Author Names and Affiliations: List the full names of all authors, along with their institutional affiliations. Indicate the corresponding author with an asterisk (*) and provide their email address.
  • Keywords: Include 4-6 keywords that represent the main themes of your research.
Abstract
  • A clear and concise summary of your research (maximum 250 words), outlining the study's objectives, methodology, key findings, and significance.
Introduction
  • Provide background information, state the research problem, and explain the significance of your study. Clearly outline the objectives of the research.
Methods
  • Describe the methodology in sufficient detail for the research to be reproducible. Include information on materials, participants, procedures, and analysis techniques.
Results
  • Present the research findings clearly and concisely. Use figures, tables, and illustrations to support your data when necessary. All figures and tables must be numbered consecutively and referenced within the text.
Discussion
  • Discuss the implications of your findings and how they contribute to the existing body of knowledge. Compare your results with previous research and explain any discrepancies.
Conclusion
  • Summarize the main findings and contributions of your study. Highlight the significance and potential future directions for research.
Acknowledgements
  • Acknowledge any financial support, assistance, or resources individuals or institutions provide.
References
  • Follow the APA citation style for references. All sources cited in the text must be included in the reference list, and vice versa. For more details on APA style, refer to the Author Guidelines on the conference website.

4. Figures and Tables

  • Placement: All figures and tables should be placed within the text at appropriate points rather than at the end of the document.
  • Format: Figures must be high-resolution (300 dpi) and should be labelled clearly with numbered captions (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1).
  • Captions: Provide a brief, descriptive caption for each figure and table. Figures should have captions placed below them, while tables should have them above.

5. Citations and References

  • All in-text citations must follow APA (American Psychological Association) style.
    • In-text citation example: (Smith, 2021) or (Jones & Williams, 2019).
    • For works by three or more authors, use the first author's surname followed by "et al." (e.g., Patel et al., 2020).
  • The reference list at the end of the manuscript should also follow APA style and be arranged alphabetically.
    • Reference example:
Smith, J. (2021). Innovative Technologies in Sustainable Development. Journal of Science and Innovation, 10(2), 45-59.

6. Anonymization for Double-Blind Review

For the peer-review process, the manuscript should be anonymized:

  • Remove author names, affiliations, and any identifying information from the manuscript.
  • Ensure that file properties (metadata) do not contain identifying information.
  • If self-referencing is necessary, replace it with “Author(s)” where appropriate.

7. Ethical Considerations

Authors must comply with the conference's Publication Ethics, including guidelines on plagiarism, data integrity, and proper citation practices. Any breaches of these ethics may result in the rejection of the manuscript.

8. Open Access and Licensing

By submitting to ICSTI, authors agree to have their work published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided the original work is properly cited.

9. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the ICSTI online submission system. As part of the submission process, authors are required to ensure compliance with the Submission Checklist.

10. Preprint and Postprint Policy

Authors can archive their preprint (manuscripts before peer review) and postprint (manuscripts after peer review but before formatting) in institutional repositories or on personal websites, with appropriate attribution to the ICSTI proceedings. For more information, refer to the Preprint and Postprint Policy.

11. Virtual Presentation

If accepted, authors are required to present their research during the virtual sessions. For technical requirements and participation instructions, please refer to the Virtual Conference Guidelines.

By following these guidelines, authors can ensure their submission is prepared correctly and eligible for consideration by the ICSTI. Submissions that do not meet these standards may be returned for revision.
