1. Copyright Ownership

  • Authors retain full copyright to their work. By submitting their manuscript to ICSTI, authors agree to make their work available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License.
  • Under this license, authors maintain ownership of their work but grant Universitas Andalas the right to publish the article and make it publicly accessible in the conference proceedings.

2. Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License

  • Public Use: Articles published under the CC BY License may be freely shared, copied, distributed, and adapted for any purpose, including commercial use, provided proper credit is given to the original authors and source.
  • Attribution: Any reuse of the article must include an appropriate citation of the original work, following the citation style of the publisher. This ensures that authors receive full credit for their contributions.

3. Preprint and Postprint Policy

  • Preprint: Authors are permitted to archive their preprint (the version of the manuscript before peer review) on personal websites, institutional repositories, or preprint servers. The preprint must include a statement acknowledging that the article has been submitted to ICSTI for publication.
  • Postprint: Authors can also share their postprint (the accepted manuscript after peer review but before final formatting) in institutional repositories or on personal websites. This version must include a citation and a link to the final version published in the ICSTI proceedings.

4. Final Published Version

  • The final, published version of the article will be available for open access under the CC BY License, ensuring unrestricted public access to the research.

5. Author Responsibilities

  • Authors must ensure their work complies with all copyright laws and have the necessary permission to include any third-party material (e.g., figures, tables) in their articles.
  • Any reuse of copyrighted material within the manuscript should be appropriately credited and attributed according to copyright agreements.
