Code of Conduct
The International Conference on Science, Technology, and Innovation (ICSTI) is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants. We believe that open dialogue, professional interaction, and mutual respect are essential to achieving the conference’s mission of advancing science, technology, and innovation. This Code of Conduct outlines the expected behavior for all attendees, including speakers, delegates, sponsors, volunteers, and organizers, whether attending in person or participating online.
1. Respectful Communication
- All participants are expected to engage in professional, respectful communication and avoid any behavior that could be considered offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate.
- Avoid disruptive or antagonistic behavior during presentations, panel discussions, or in online forums.
- Respect the perspectives and contributions of others, even in situations where there is disagreement.
2. Inclusivity and Non-Discrimination
- ICSTI is committed to providing an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, nationality, or any other protected characteristic.
- Discrimination, harassment, or exclusionary behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Be mindful of language and actions that can create a hostile or uncomfortable environment.
3. Harassment-Free Environment
Harassment in any form, whether verbal, physical, or visual, is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
- Offensive comments, gestures, or jokes related to gender, race, or personal characteristics.
- Intimidation, stalking, or unwanted contact.
- Sustained disruption of presentations or discussions.
4. Appropriate Behavior in Online Spaces
For online sessions and discussions:
- Refrain from using inappropriate, offensive, or harmful language in chats, forums, or any virtual communication platform.
- Avoid spamming, trolling, or sharing irrelevant content that detracts from the professional purpose of the event.
- Respect the privacy and personal boundaries of other participants in all online interactions.
5. Professionalism During Presentations
- Presenters should ensure that their content is respectful, accurate, and relevant to the audience. Offensive or inappropriate material is not permitted.
- During Q&A sessions, participants should ask questions politely and avoid personal attacks on presenters or other attendees.
- All presenters and attendees should respect the time limits and schedules established by the conference organizers.
6. Reporting Violations
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct:
- You are encouraged to report the incident to the ICSTI organizing committee. Contact details will be provided at the registration desk and in the conference materials.
- All complaints will be handled confidentially and promptly. The conference organizers will take appropriate action, which may include warnings, removal from the event, or notification of relevant authorities, depending on the severity of the incident.
7. Consequences of Misconduct
Participants found to be in violation of this Code of Conduct may face consequences, including but not limited to:
- Immediate removal from the conference without a refund.
- Prohibition from attending future ICSTI events.
- Reporting the incident to the individual’s affiliated institution or employer.
8. Acknowledgement of Code of Conduct
By attending ICSTI, whether in person or virtually, all participants agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Failure to comply may result in immediate action by the conference organizers.
